Terms & Conditions
Payments & Bookings:
All payments for counselling & coaching sessions must be transferred to me no later than one hour before your session time, unless you have paid for a block booking of sessions (which will be confirmed to you in an email), or have agreed to pay in cash on arrival. If paying with cash please pay immediately on arrival thank you.
Cancellations & Rearranging Sessions:
If you would like to cancel or rearrange a counselling session, 24 hours notice is required otherwise you might be charged for late notice unless mutually agreed.
Non-attendance of sessions without notice could mean that you will be charged the full session amount, or if already paid in advance you may lose that session. Such circumstances will be discussed and are at my discretion whether an alternative session is offered due to availability. If you do not attend a session, I will either send you a text message, or email to confirm that you have not attended. My terms & conditions will be discussed with you if any issues become a regular occurrence.
Please note that I may contact you if you are more than ten minutes late for your session to check on your wellbeing, if you prefer me not to do so please make me aware of this.
Breaks In Counselling:
I shall endeavour to provide as much notice as possible regarding any breaks in sessions, clients are encouraged to do the same and take into account any holidays booked which may cause breaks in the counselling.
Professional Practice:
I am currently with the BACP who are a professional body that states I must attend regular supervision with a qualified professional. During this work I will share my experiences of working as a counsellor, which assists me in working ethically & professionally.
Confidentiality:
Confidentiality will one be breached in relation to certain laws or if I & my supervisor have concerns about any harm to yourself or harm to others in some way. If you are a client under the age of 18 then your legal guardians will be the be contacted also regarding the situation.
Note Taking:
The counsellor will keep client notes on a password secure computer and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection of record keeping.
Clinical Will:
The counsellor will only keep your contact details in a ‘Clinical/Therapeutic Will’ database which is online, and will be accessed by assigned persons in case of emergency where the counsellor is unable to contact clients. This can be if the counsellor is incapacitated, or has passed away and therefore clients must be informed.
Complaints:
The confidential Get help with counselling concerns service is available Monday to Thursday, 9.30am to 4pm, by phone and email.

Clients have the option of sending an email of complaint directly to the therapist/counsellor and or directly to the BACP on the number & email above.
