Terms & Conditions
Payments & Bookings:
All payments for counselling sessions must be paid no later than 24 hours before your session booking time, unless you have paid for a block booking of sessions (which will be confirmed to you in an email), or if we have agreed you may pay in cash (not relevant with video/telephone sessions).
If paying with cash please pay immediately on arrival thank you.
Cancellations & Rearranging Sessions:
If you would like to cancel or rearrange a counselling session, 24 hours notice is required otherwise you might be charged for late notice unless mutually agreed.
Non-attendance of sessions without notice could mean that you will be charged the full session amount, or if already paid in advance you may lose that session. Such circumstances will be discussed and are at my discretion whether an alternative session is offered due to availability.
If you do not attend a session, or are 15 minutes late I will send you a text message to check on your wellbeing, inform me if you prefer me not to do so please. When clients do not attend sessions without prior notice, nor responding to a text message, I will send an email to confirm that you have not attended.
My terms & conditions will be discussed with you if any of the above mentioned points become a regular occurrence.
Breaks In Counselling:
I shall endeavour to provide as much notice as possible regarding any breaks in sessions, clients are encouraged to do the same and take into account any holidays booked which may cause breaks in the counselling.
Professional Practice:
I am currently a registered member with the BACP who are a professional body that states I must attend regular supervision with a qualified professional. During this work I will share my experiences of working as a counsellor, which assists me in working ethically & professionally.
Confidentiality:
Confidentiality will only be breached in relation to certain laws, or if I & my supervisor have concerns about any harm to yourself, or harm to others. If you are a client under the age of 18 then your legal guardians will be the be contacted also regarding the situation.
Note Taking:
As a counsellor I am duty bound to retain client notes for a minimum of seven years, all my client notes are on a password secure computer and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection of record keeping.
Clinical Will:
Client contact details are placed on a ‘Clinical/Therapeutic Will’ database which is online, and will be accessed by assigned professional persons in case of emergency where the counsellor is unable to contact clients.
This can be if the counsellor is incapacitated, or has passed away and therefore clients must be informed.
Complaints:

Clients have the option of sending an email of complaint directly to the therapist/counsellor and or directly to the BACP on the number & email above.
